About Us
…in any society, there are many sub-universes of meaning.
~Joan Laird
As we become aware of ourselves as storytellers, we realise we can use our stories to heal and make ourselves whole.
~Susan Wittig Albert

Our Vision
To celebrate, embrace and nurture neurodiversity, queer joy, and the value of lived experience, within our communities and beyond.
Our Mission
At NeuroBeyond, we understand that our current world is dominated by neuro-conforming and binary ideas and ways of living, which can cause anxiety, distress and exhaustion in people who have different ways of thinking and being. We provide neuroaffirming and queer friendly counselling to support neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ people, their friends, families, and communities, to navigate this world and gain greater ownership of their stories and lives.

Telling stories in ways that make us stronger
~ Auntie Barbara Wingard
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians and Owners of the lands, seas and skies on which we work, learn, grow and live. Whilst we gather on many Countries on this continent, we acknowledge we were founded on the Lands of the Kaurna and Peramangk people. We pay our respects to All Elders past and present and recognise that their sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
We are committed to diversity and inclusion; equity and accessibility are woven into everything we do. We honour lived experience and celebrate people of all backgrounds, ages, genders, sexualities, cultures, minds, bodies and abilities.
